I’ve switched to Grok Bot — and it’s so seamless between devices that the old laptop-only agent feeling is gone. Same thread on the laptop, same continuity on the phone. Always-on in a way that doesn’t require me to keep a terminal window sacred.
On Arch (via Omarchy), it’s been excellent for local Linux admin and for messy multi-step personal ops: tracking, drafting, iterating, and not losing the plot between sessions. Screenshots and hand-over actually work as a collaboration style — I can show the bot what I’m looking at, and pick up where we left off without rebuilding context from scratch.
The part that still makes me grin: I can view and interact with each bot’s VM screen. Logins, discussions, the awkward GUI bits — you’re not blind to what the agent is doing. It starts to feel like little people inside, each with their own desk, while I stay on mine.
Best of both worlds, honestly. It can manipulate the local Linux laptop and its own Linux machine. Local when local matters; remote and always-on when I need the work to keep going without yogi open on my lap. That’s the loop I wanted.
