Five days after the Cybertruck unveil cracked its own Armor Glass on stage (twice), I bought again at US$336.99. The internet wanted the meme. I wanted more of the company, and I was grinning at the stainless pickup anyway. A live demo that goes wrong is still data if you refuse to freeze.
What mattered as much as the truck, for the position, was Gigafactory Shanghai: groundbreaking in January 2019 on empty land, trial Model 3 production in roughly ten months. That kind of speed made the volume thesis feel concrete to me in a way no stage gag could cancel. The creators I was already following (Now You Know, Tesla Daily, Solving the Money Problem, Whole Mars Catalog, Dave Lee, Ride the Lightning) separated the spectacle from the compounding the same way they had during production hell.
I bought again, stacking November on top of the January to May adds. The pickup might take years to reach a driveway. The factory was already rewriting what "years" meant for volume. I would rather fund that than wait for a polished press tour that ships nothing. That November buy was another brick on the same wall I started in January: buy what I think is underpriced, ignore the meme cycle, and let the factories argue with the FUD. If the stainless pickup ever opens for a real order into Australia, I already know I will want in. For now the factory speed is the argument that matters.
