Rumours that a supervised build is heading for Australia keep bubbling up. For someone who’s watched the stack climb through 10, 11, 12, and into 13 on YouTube for years, that’s not trivia. It’s the product finally catching the thesis.
I’ve been a long-term Tesla shareholder and, fine, a bit of an Elon biography / long-form interview tragic. SpaceX was the same habit: following Falcon Heavy when it still felt like science fiction, then Starship from the early sketches and belly-flops. The Juniper refresh test drive with FSD is what flipped it. Same long-term bet, but the cabin, glass, and ride felt finished, and supervised FSD on HW4 was in a different league from that earlier Autopilot. We ordered a dual-motor Model Y Juniper: Hardware 4 (AI4) cameras and compute, refreshed cabin, the lot. HW4 matters if you care about FSD longevity here — Australia’s first supervised rollouts are aimed at that generation. Paying for a car that can actually receive the stack we’d been watching overseas felt like closing a loop, not buying a gadget.
Still a rumour until metal shows up in the driveway. But the thesis is no longer abstract. It’s glacier-blue paint on an order confirmation.
